Essential oils and alternative medicine has been something that was introduced quite early on in my childhood. My mum always had a full aromatherapy kit and treated many a cut and graze with it.
Headlice had her reaching for the box. The smells! Wow! My sister is the same. She is a trained aromatherapist.
When it comes to something new or unusual, I have to research it, I have to understand it. Over the years if anyone I knew had a problem, I would research until I found an answer.
Finding Effective Skin Care Solutions
Many years ago, I had a few friends suffering from problems with their skin, acne and allergies.
Friend 1 had small pimple-like spots up her arms and any exposed skin. She also had a grass allergy. Her husband, terrible heat rash and instant burn even when in a shady area!
Aloe vera soothed both. After spending hours of research, I found a sun cream that wasn’t widely available or cheap, but it worked. Problem solved!
Friend 2 is a little more complicated.
First, we thought allergies and tried the usual antihistamines and topical cream. Still, the doctor thought allergy, prescription-only antihistamines which is a reasonable answer.
Allergic to the sun! Brilliant! How do you avoid that without locking yourself away? We all need sunlight.
